Hi, my name is Lauren. I grew up in Windermere, Florida, a small suburb of Orlando. I traded the sunshine and orange groves to be a Syracuse Orange. After graduating with a dual degree in magazine journalism and art history, I moved to the Big Apple. I do not have a fruit fetish.

But I am an avid eater. My heart swells when I think about devouring the cheese course at Louis IX in Monte Carlo or the wild-mushroom gnocchi I savored on a terrace overlooking the Napa Valley. Green markets excite me and I think birthday cakes should be mandatory.

I am an only child and a self-proclaimed anglophile. I maintain proper letters and fancy stationery are a must. I think red lipstick is pretty rad and nothing says hello there like a good pair of heels (even on a tall drink of water, like me).
